Having released seven albums, including 2005's critically acclaimed MY BETTER SELF, her first-ever DVD, Live at the Bearsville Theater, provides abundant evidence of Williams' tuneful gifts, charming humor and empathic nature.

Playing her acoustic guitar, Williams presents sixteen songs, including most of her best-known works, in solo fashion or accompanied by her longtime backing band. Williams offers to the Bearsville audience triumphant renditions of favorites from her early career like the classic "Iowa (Traveling III)," "The Babysitter's Here," "When I was a Boy," "As Cool As I Am" and the gorgeous "February," along with recent songs like the resplendent "Spring Street," "Beauty of the Rain" and a new song "The Easy Way."

The newest album from Dar Williams, "My Better Self," was released by Razor & Tie on Sept 13, 2005. The album is both political and personal, combining songs of love and hate with tales that illustrate some of the many social and environmental issues that Dar holds dear to her heart. Recorded in Woodstock, NY, "My Better Self" features several guests, including Soulive, Ani DiFranco, Marshall Crenshaw and Patty Larkin.

When Amalee's grandmother dies, she inherits a very strange object: a huge champagne bottle filled with over a thousand dollars' worth of change. Amalee is told to spend the money on something important, so she decides to make a movie about endangered species. Soon there's as much going on behind the scenes as there is in front of the camera, as Amalee deals with a new friend, a very cute older boy, her wacky family friends, and a host of other challenges.
